What would your job be like?
We are looking for an analytical and proactive automation tester with a natural curiosity and inner desire to break things to ensure the highest software quality. The ideal candidate embraces continuous learning, innovation, and brings advanced technical knowledge in networking, security and other IT domains.
As a tester on the MyQ X Server team, your main job will be to create and maintain automated tests and also perform manual testing for our web, desktop, and mobile applications. You will work closely with developers, product owners, and other testers to find and resolve issues, ensuring that our solution stays reliable and secure. Your work will contribute to delivering a high-quality product to our users.
- Test web-based, desktop, and/or mobile applications across a variety of platforms.
- Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end automated tests in TypeScript using Playwright.
- Monitor and maintain automated test runs, ensuring test stability and reliability.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and other testers to identify, analyze, and resolve issues.
- Apply advanced knowledge of networking, security, or other IT-related domains to strengthen testing strategies.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of test automation frameworks, pipelines, and QA practices.
- Report, document, and track software defects using tools like Jira and Confluence.
- Write and review test cases in Gherkin syntax for clear acceptance criteria documentation.
- Execute API testing and validation using Postman.
- Utilize Docker to set up test environments and simplify integration flows.
- Integrate automated test suites and workflows within TeamCity as part of CI/CD pipelines.
What we expect from you

- Hands-on experience in test automation with Playwright and TypeScript.
- Experience testing web, desktop, or mobile applications.
- Familiarity with API testing and BDD practices.
- Practical knowledge of version control systems, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized test environments.
- Experience with test reporting and case management (Testomat.io or similar tools).
- Strong background in networking, security, or other IT-related areas is a significant plus.
