Building stronger partnerships in South Africa
10/08/2026
Last month, the MyQ team has been on the ground across South Africa, running two parallel efforts: a reseller roadshow across three cities and a series of hands-on certification trainings with individual channel partners.
Together, they reflect the same underlying goal: make sure the people selling and supporting MyQ locally are equipped to do it well, and keep building the partnerships that make that possible.
The roadshow: Durban, Cape Town, and Johannesburg
The centerpiece of the trip was a three-city roadshow run together with Taropa Technologies, Brother Middle East & Africa, and HP. Each stop brought together valued resellers to showcase MyQ's latest print management offerings and work through the real complexities of enterprise printing, from security to scalability.
The series opened in Durban, where the team met resellers across KwaZulu-Natal. It continued in Cape Town, connecting with Western Cape resellers. It closed out in Johannesburg, joined this time by Octopi Group Holdings as well, bringing together resellers across Gauteng for the final stop in the series.
Across all three cities, the conversations followed a similar pattern: less product pitch, more genuine discussion about what partners are running into with print management solutions as their customers' print environments grow.

Certification training: building capability, not just closing deals
Alongside the roadshow, the team ran a separate string of technical certification trainings with individual partners, each aimed at qualifying more people to support MyQ in the field. As a result, South Africa now has 50+ more certified specialists who can deliver MyQ solutions.
That included a multi-day certification session with Smart Office Connexion Group, with HP partners in South Africa also part of the training. It continued with a refresher session for KYOCERA Document Solutions South Africa, walking their team through what's new in the MyQ portfolio and what's coming next. Nashua Limited followed with its own certification training, aimed at equipping the Nashua team to share MyQ knowledge across all of its franchises. And Epson Middle East FZCO ran a two-day certification with Epson and Epson partner teams, covering technical setup, the sales conversation, and the support know-how needed to work with customers directly.

Two new partners also joined the MyQ Certified Partners network along the way: Smart Office Connexion Group and Octopi Group Holdings, both of which the team worked with directly during the trip.
The thread running through all of these: qualifying more MyQ technical engineers so partners can provide real support, not just make the sale.
Why it matters
Two different formats, roadshow events and certification trainings, but the same underlying investment: time spent on the ground, in the room, with the people who represent MyQ to customers every day. That's what turns a partnership from a signed agreement into something that actually works in the market. And this isn't the end of the story, more partner onboarding is already lined up for the months ahead.
MyQ is pleased to strengthen its collaboration with Canon Singapore, which oversees Canon's business operations across South and Southeast Asia.
